High-resolution open-back planar magnetic headphones with a spacious soundstage, ideal for desktop listening and audiophile enthusiasts seeking detailed audio performance.
Experience the HIFIMAN HE400SE, a premium open-back planar magnetic headphone designed for critical listening. The 25-ohm impedance and 96dB sensitivity allow compatibility with most desktop DACs and amplifiers, though a low-impedance amp enhances performance. The lightweight aluminum headband and breathable pads ensure comfort during extended sessions. The detachable 3-meter cable with a gold-plated 3.5mm plug offers flexibility and durability. Best suited for quiet environments due to sound leakage, these headphones deliver an expansive soundstage and precise instrument separation. Ideal for home setups, they provide a significant step up from standard consumer audio. Verify your amplifier's output impedance to maximize clarity. This model is a strong choice for those entering the planar magnetic market, offering high fidelity without excessive power requirements. Ensure a dedicated listening space to fully appreciate the analytical detail and wide imaging. The robust build quality supports long-term use, making it a reliable investment for serious listeners.
While it can be driven by many desktop DACs, a low-impedance amplifier is recommended to unlock its full potential and ensure optimal performance.
