The HIFIMAN HE400SE delivers planar magnetic precision in an open‑back design, offering a spacious, detailed soundstage for discerning listeners. Its wired conn
The HE400SE pairs a full‑size, open‑back earcup with HIFIMAN’s patented planar magnetic drivers, producing a remarkably transparent sound that reveals subtle instrument placement and texture. With a nominal impedance of 25 Ω and a sensitivity of 96 dB SPL/V, the headphones can be driven by most quality desktop DAC/amps without demanding excessive power, though an amp with low output impedance will unlock their full potential. The detachable 3‑meter cable features a gold‑plated 3.5 mm plug, ensuring a secure, interference‑free link to source gear. Comfort is addressed through plush, breathable ear pads and a lightweight aluminum headband, though the open‑back design does leak sound, making them best suited for quiet environments. HIFIMAN offers a two‑year warranty covering manufacturing defects, and free shipping is included. Buyers should consider a suitable amp and a quiet listening space to fully appreciate the HE400SE’s expansive soundstage and analytical detail.
