The HIFIMAN Edition XS delivers spacious, detailed sound with an open‑back design and hidden‑magnet drivers, while the adjustable headband ensures a comfortable fit for long listening sessions.
The HIFIMAN Edition XS is a full‑size, over‑ear headphone built for listeners who demand clarity and a wide soundstage. Its open‑back architecture lets air flow freely, reducing ear fatigue and revealing subtle instrument placement that sealed designs often mask. Hidden magnetic drivers provide a balanced frequency response, emphasizing crisp highs and controlled bass without sacrificing detail. The adjustable headband, crafted from lightweight alloy, accommodates a range of head sizes and maintains consistent pressure, making marathon sessions painless. Build quality is solid, with a durable frame and replaceable ear pads that stay comfortable even in warmer environments. Plug‑and‑play compatibility works with any 3.5 mm source, and the included 3‑meter cable offers ample reach for desktop setups. At a price point near US$200, the Edition XS offers audiophile‑grade performance without the premium price tag, and HIFIMAN backs it with a two‑year warranty and free firmware updates for future enhancements.
Acoustic, classical, jazz, and high‑resolution recordings gain the most, as the open‑back lets subtle instrument details and spatial cues shine.
Yes, the 3.5 mm plug works with smartphones, tablets, and laptops, though you may need an adapter for devices lacking a headphone jack.
HIFIMAN offers a two‑year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects, plus free firmware updates to keep the drivers performing at their best.
