Experience precise, spacious audio with the HIFIMAN HE400SE. These open-back planar magnetic headphones deliver exceptional detail and a wide soundstage, ideal for critical listeners seeking high-resolution performance in a quiet home environment.
Elevate your home listening with the HIFIMAN HE400SE, a premium open-back planar magnetic headphone designed for audiophiles who value transparency and spatial accuracy. The 25-ohm impedance and 96 dB sensitivity allow for easy pairing with most desktop DACs and amplifiers, though a low-impedance amp will fully unlock the driver’s potential. The lightweight aluminum headband and breathable ear pads ensure comfort during extended sessions, while the detachable 3-meter cable with a gold-plated 3.5 mm plug provides a secure, interference-free connection. Note that the open-back design leaks sound, making these headphones best suited for private, quiet spaces rather than noisy commutes or shared offices. If you prioritize analytical detail and an immersive soundstage over bass punch or noise isolation, this model offers a compelling entry into high-end planar technology. Verify your amplifier’s output impedance to ensure optimal performance before purchasing.
While the 25-ohm impedance allows it to work with many desktop DACs, a low-impedance amplifier is recommended to fully unlock the planar drivers' potential and ensure consistent performance.
No, the open-back design leaks sound and offers no noise isolation. They are best used in quiet, private environments like a home studio or living room.
